Funeral services for Mrs. U. A. Meyers, pioneer Ellis county resident were held Monday in the Fargo Methodist church with the Rev. J. W. McKinney, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Fargo cemetery, under direction of Byron Mason's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meyers died Saturday in the Newman Memorial Hospital, Shattuck, following a brief illness.
Ida Belle Hecler was born April 19, 1878 in Sommerset county, Pa. On Jan. 9, 1909 she was married to U. A. Meers at Woodard. After her marriage she made her home in Ellis County on a farm eight miles northwest of Fargo where she lived until Jan. 6, when she moved to town.
Survivors include her husband of the home in Fargo; a brother, Norman Hechler, Meyersdale, Pa., and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
