Joe Moore, 58 years-old, Roger Mills county citizen, and a pioneer citizen of this county, died suddenly near Canadian, Texas, Friday from heart failure,. For the past several years Mr. Moore has resided, southwest of Leedey. He is survived by his wife and three children, he was a brother of Ed Moore of south of Peek.
Mr. Moore was an honorable, hard working citizen, highly respected by friends, and neighbors, and loved by his family. For several years he was a cotton buyer and gin manager at Leedey.
Funeral rites were conducted, Monday and burial made in the Moorewood cemetery. The town of Moorewood was named for the father of the Moore boys.
