Mrs. Frank Morris, wife of deputy county assessor, died at the Shattuck hospital, Saturday January 24th, following an illness of only a few days.

Leah Meiers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Meiers, was born April 10th, 1910,m and died January 24th, at the age of 21 years, nine months and five days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Morris, at Taloga, Oklahoma, October 29th, 1931. Mrs. Morris grew to womanhood in the Shattuck community. She graduated from the Shattuck high school with the class of 1930.

The deceased was loved and respected by all with whom she was acquainted, Mrs. Morris made many friends in Arnett during her short stay here. She was a member of the First Baptist church Shattuck, and before her death, she told loved ones she felt she had fought a good fight in this life and was prepared to meet her Savior.

She is survived by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Dave of Loveland, Colorado; and Alex, of Shattuck, three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Batt, of Shattuck; Mrs. Millie Meiers, of North Dakota; and Lillian at home; together with a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn here departure.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist church at Shattuck, Wednesday, by Rev. George Ruber and Rev. J. G. Holder and interment made in the Shattuck cemetery.
