One Killed, Several Hurt In Car Crash

Benjamin Leroy Polin, age 30 years, of near Catesby, died Monday evening in the Shattuck hospital from injuries received in a car accident, which occurred 12 1/2 miles northwest of Shattuck, Monday evening. The accident occurred when a car driven by William V. Shouse of Booker, Texas, and a car driven by Mr. Pollin collided.

Several persons riding in the Shouse car were injured, but none seriously. Mr. and Mrs. Shouse had been to Shattuck to visit relatives and to see their son, a patient in the hospital, and were returning to their home at Booker when the accident happened.

Mr. Polin sustained a fractured jaw and a fracture of the skull.
