James H. Pryor was born in Campbell Co., KY., Oct. 5, 1832, and died at Gage June 22, 1906, being at the date of his death 73 years, 8 months, and 17 days of age. He was married to Sarah O. Thompson, June 8, 1858. To them were born five children, two of whom have preceded him to the great beyond, and three of whom reside in this county-J. L. and Ida B. of Gage, and Dr. J. M. of Shattuck. His beloved wife departed this life July 18, 1903. The deceasd was a faithful Christian to the day of his death.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Ida P. Shook, Friday evening, June 22, conducted by Rev. O. M. Humphreys, after which the remains were shipped to Indiana, J. L. Pryor accompanying them.
