Virginia Alice (George) Range was born on April 24, 1935 in Higgins, Texas to Landon Edward (Sonny) and Tessa Annis (Moser) George. She was the 4th child born to a large family, having had seven sisters and six brothers. She grew up and lived in Higgins until she was 15 years old. It was there that she met Raymond L. range who was to be her lifelong husband, partner and friend. They were married on January 22, 1951 in Osborn, Kansas. To this union were born two daughters and five sons. They lived in various places, and settled in Arnett in 1959 to make their home. It was there that she lived for the rest of her life.
Virginia was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always concerned for family's well being and always had a positive kind word and a "Good Morning!" for all. She loved being a homemaker and doing those "little extras" to make her home or business look nice. She was a great seamstress and one would often times see her hard at work at the sewing machine making that special item for her own decor or for a family member. She was also a great cook and loved to cook up a big feast for the family, especially at Thanksgiving. She was also a dedicated hard worker who owned and operated her own business for 32 years. She love the Lord and she knew that He loved her. Precious to her was her family and little dog Maggie also. We all love her and she will be deeply and greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Tessa George, brother Carrell E. George, sisters Mary Louise Roberts, Alberta Fickling and Esther George. She is survived by husband Raymond of the home, sisters Carentha Roberts & Eddie Smoot, Higgins, TX, Barbara Ann Lovett, Amarillo, TX, Emma May Easter, Glendale, AZ, Marilyn Jean Kemp & husband Don, Amarillo, TX, and brothers Harold Ray George, Vega, TX, Roland Bert George and wife Nancy, Vega, TX, David Lee George and wife Marty, Sasakwa, Dennis Lynn George, Amarillo, TX, Dile L.
