ELLIS COUNTY CAPITAL
ARNETT, OKLAHOMA

C. A. Squire Rites held Wednesday

Funeral services for C. A. Squire were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Mason Funeral Home in Shattuck. Interment was in the Allmond Cemetery.

Mr. Squire passed away Sunday afternoon in St. Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City. He had been in failing health for a long time and had been a patient intermittently in a hospital in Oklahoma City. He has been in failing health in the past several years.

A pioneer citizen of Ellis County, Mr. Squires came to this area in 1903 and lived at Grand. He taught in old Day County and later Ellis County, and will be remembered by many old timers and former school students. He lived in this area for many years, and later made his home on the West Coast before retiring and moving back here where he made his home with the later W. K. Suthers, and then moved to Oklahoma City.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. W. N. Horner, other relatives and friends.
