FUNERAL HELD FOR JOAN STOUT MONDAY

Funeral rites were held from the Arnett School Auditorium, Monday afternoon, July 10th, for little Joan Stout, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Stout, who died at the Shattuck hospital, Sunday following an illness of several weeks. The funeral sermon was given by Rev. Buirley, Methodist Minister.

Joan Stout was born December 8, 1932, at Shattuck, Oklahoma, and passed away Sunday morning July 9th, 1944, at 10:45 o’clock, at the Shattuck hospital, age 11 years, 7 months and one day.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her parents, Charlie and Leona Stout, and one brother, Terry, of Arnett. The grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Shelton, Arnett, and Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Stout, Sr., Porterville, California. A host of uncles, aunts cousins, and other relatives—Many, many friends and playmates.

Joan attended Sunday School at the Methodist church in Arnett where she learned about God and His wonderful purposes toward mankind. She was obedient to her parents and was anxious to learn to serve The Master. During the long period of suffering, she never complained. She was loved by all who knew her.

Her life, a Precious Memory— lingering—and Sweet. She will be greatly missed, in the home and community.

Try hard to understand these things

Something we cannot do:

But the Master, who doeth all things well

Whispers Sweet Peace to you.
