Rosie Sween

Rosie (Schibbelhute) Swenn was born to Fred and Anna (Lip) Schibbelhute on December 21, 1915. She passed from this life at the age of 88 on April 18, 2004, at the Newman Memorial Hosiptal in Shattuck.

She was born in Shattuck and grew up in Ellis County, Oklahoma

On November 16, 1925, Rosie married Dave Swenn of Follett, Texas, at Arnett. To this family two sons were born, J. C. Swenn of Shattuck and Danny Swenn of Catesby. They lived on the farm at Catesby for 52 years and then moved to Shattuck where they resided for the last 18 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, J. C. Swenn and Danny Swenn; four borthers, Fitz, Sam, Harvey, and Vic Schibblehutt, and one sister, Gladys Blackwell

She is survived by her husband Dave Swenn of Shattuck; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Swenn and Ann Swenn, both of Shattuck; four brothers, Melvin Schibbelhute of Edmond, Leland Schibbelhute of Catesby, LeRoy Schibbelhute of Shattuck, and Edward Schibbelhute of Derry, New Hampshire; two sisters, Betty Swallof of Fort Supply and Lula Mae Mathews of Woodward; four grandchildren, Kelly Swenn, Kevin Swenn, Terry Swenn, and Mistie Clearwater, and ten great-grandchildren.

Private family services were held Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the Fairmont Cemetery in Follet, Texas.
