Mrs. S. W. Dooley, Mrs. M. Cassidy, Mrs. W. H. Coyle, Mrs. J. T. Brickner, Mrs. Robert Bell, Mrs. J. D. Burke, Mrs. Maurice Kroeger, Mrs. J. J. McNutty and Miss Anna Foley sewed for the Red Cross at the home of Mrs. L. I. Beland yesterday afternoon and will meet here again next Thursday.
Mrs. James Allen was hostess to the Openoky Club yesterday afternoon and special guests were Mrs. M. E. North of Wapaun, Wis.; Mrs. M. S. Reynolds of Ponca, Neb., Mrs. Patty, Mrs. F. M. Hurst and Mrs. C. C. Clothier. Time was spent with fancywork and Red Cross work after which Mrs. Allen was assisted by her daughter Miss Vera, in serving a delicious two course luncheon. The next meeting with take place in two weeks at the home of Mrs. C. J. Harrington
Guthrie Council 1066 of Knights and Ladies of Security met at Masonic Hall last evening and initiated an unusually large number of candidates. Condructress L. Langfitt had charge of the work which was made very interesting. At eleven o'clock refreshments were served to about fifty members and guests.
Mrs. Frank Schmidt, Mrs. A. E. Wickzer, Miss Ester Dwinnell and the members of the Leisure Hour club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Vernon Haws yesterday afternoon. The time was pleasantly spent with sewing and Victrola and dainty refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. J. J. Kennedy will entertain the club in two weeks.
