Foreman Shot. Well Known Farmer Killed by Fred Clark. Stroud. Word reaches us as we go to press that S. R. Foreman, the well known farmer, was shot and killed last Friday night by his brother in law, Fred Clark. The shooting took place about seven miles northwest of here and Foreman died almost immediately. As far as we can learn, George Morris was the only witness of the affair.
It is reported that Clark is in Chandler awaiting arrest. Foreman married Clark's sister, and a long chain of trouble resulting has ended in this tragedy. Whether Clark was justified in committing the homicide or not is a question for the jury.
TAYLOR RELEASED. The Killing of Burglar Jennings Was Justifiable.

The preliminary examination of Policeman Jeff Taylor for killing Bishop Jennings was held before Judge Foster yesterday afternoon, Five witnesses were examined by County Attorney Jones and Assistant Devereaux.
The witnesses told how Jennings had entered the Guthrie Hotel, the chase by Taylor, and the other details given in the Leader at the time of the killing. The stolen property found on the prisoner was identified. Judge Foster discharged Taylor, saying the shooting was justifiable, as an officer must use the best means to prevent a prisoner from escaping custody.
