65 Original '89ers Sign Up Here For Celebration Friday
Mrs. Mae Poteet, registrar for the sons and daughers of '89 reported that a total of 65 original '89ers and 137 descendants of the pioneers had registered before 1 p.m., Thursday. The booth will remain open until parade time Friday, she said.
Following the parade the organization will honor the original pioneers, and those who were over 16 at the time of the opening, at a dinner which will be served in Central school.
