Lieut. Dudley Loomis, who was burned to death when his airplane fell at Fort Sill, Thursday evening, was a member of the first soldiers consistory class in Guthrie. Loomis and Lieut. Feftin Stamps were trying out their machine on the aerial ground near Sill. The machine took a nose dive from a height of 500 feet and burst into flames as it struck the ground. Both men were killed and their bodies were burned beyond recognition. Loomis came from Missouri.
