MULHALL WEDDINGS.
Cupid Was Busy in Mulhall This Week - Two Weddings the Result.
CHAMPION-WOOD
On Tuesday evening, October 18, 1898, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Wood, at 8 o'clock p.m., Mr. Albert Jay Champion to Miss Alma Ida Wood, the marriage ceremony being performed by Rev. A.G. Murray.
The wedding was a quiet one, none being present except relatives of the bride and groom, and Rev. and Mrs. D.W. Keller and Mrs. Murray. At the stroke of eight, the beautiful wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. A.G. Murray of Pawhuska.
Afterward the guests sat down to the wedding supper, which was hardly finished until the sound of music was heard, mingled with many voices which proved to be the friends of the newly married couple, who had shown their good will by making an early call upon the bride and groom. The guests were invited in, and the house was soon filled. After music by the mandolin club, they were treated to ice cream, cake and fruit. Soon afterwards the guests departed with congratulations and expressions of good will for Mr. and Mrs. Champion.
The friends of the couple, which very nearly comprises the whole city, know the young people so well that THE ENTERPRISE feels unworthy in an attempt to say anything, as everybody knows them better than we do. The bride is the daughter of Postmaster Wood, and is, indeed, one of our most popular young ladies. The groom is junior member of the firm of Baskins-Champion mercantile company, and is a jolly, whole-souled and energetic young man, and is very popular. THE ENTERPRISE offers kindly congratulations, and hopes that the "matrimonial sea" that people talk about may never get "rough," and that no cloud will ever obscure their star of happiness.

RHOADS-BAKER
At the residence of Rev. J.W. Black, five miles east of Mulhall, on Tuesday evening, October 18, 1898, at 8 o'clock, Mr. Arthur L. Rhoads to Mrs. Minnie A. Baker, the marriage being performed by Rev. Black.
Only a few special friends of the couple witnessed the ceremony, Mrs. Enos Kuhlman and sister, Mrs. McCullough, accompanied the couple to Rev. Black's.
Mr. and Mrs. Rhoads are well and most favorably known here. Arthur is head clerk at Kuhlman's store, and has been an employee of Mr. Kuhlman for several years. He also owns a fine farm near Chandler. Mrs. Rhoads is well known here, having been here for a number of years. She is an estimable little lady, and has a host of friends who join in best wishes, and THE ENTERPRISE wants to be numbered among Mr. and Mrs. Rhoads' best well wishers for a long and happy married life.

ANOTHER WEDDING.

On Wednesday, November 9, 1898, at the residence of the bridegroom's brother, Mr. Claude English, occurred the marriage of Mr. Fred English to Miss Ohla K. Hunt, the wedding ceremony being performed by Rev. E.B. Evans, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Only relatives attended the wedding, and it was kept a secret until the "at home" cards of the couple were issued.
The bride is the daughter of M.A. Hunt, proprietor of the Palace Hotel, who moved to Mulhall about two months ago. The family is well and favorably known here, having resided at Guthrie and Edmond before moving here.
The bridegroom is one of the best known young men in Mulhall. He is the senior member of the firm of English Bros., and is as prominent in social and fraterrnal order circles as in business circles. We have nothing but the very best of good wishes for the happiness of this young couple who begin life together with such a promising future.

PLATT - KINCAID MARRIAGE.

At Guthrie, Wednesday, November 16, 1898, at 2 o'clock p.m., at the home of the bride, occurred the marriage of Miss Gladys Kincaid, a former Mulhall young lady, to Mr. Edward Platt, of St. Joseph, Mo. The wedding was a quiet one, and none but relatives and close friends participated. Rev. J.E. Platt, father of the groom, performed the wedding ceremony.
The bride scarcely needs any introduction to our readers, as she belongs to one of the foremost families of Mulhall. She is a splendid musician, a model lady, and will make an ideal wife. May her married life be happy.
The groom is a former business man of Guthrie. He is wideawake, energetic and wholesouled, and has numerous friends in this county who wish him well. The new couple went to St. Joseph on the evening train, and a large number of their relatives and friends gathered at the depot as they passed through Mulhall, and the happy couple were showered with rice and goods wishes.
