In courtesy to George Sumner of Lindenwood, New Jersey, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lary of Wichita, Kansas, a reunion of former Mt. Summit pupils was held Sunday at an open house in the home of Mr. & Mrs. R. O. Seeds, and Jeannie, 419 N. Division.
Mt. Summit school was built about 1901 in District 58, northeast of Guthrie.
The afternoon was spent in visiting, looking at old pictures of the classes attending the school, and in taking movies of those present.
Punch and wafers were served from a lace covered table centered with a lovely arrangement of zinnias. Mrs. Harry Sawnson and Mrs. Dave Herbert, sisters of the hostess, presided.
Those present, in addition to the out-of-town guests, were Mr. and Mrs. Turner Sowers, Virginia and Nancy, Mr. & Mrs. Ward Branham, Miss Ella Davis, Mrs. Bernice Mason, Mrs. Etta Whitman, Mrs. May Buckles, Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Stearns, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Schallenberg, Frank Schallenberg, Mr. & Mrs. Fermer Sowers, Charles Sowers, Louis Sowers, Mrs. Herbert and Mrs. Swanson.
