Been Married Fifty Years
Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Ritterbusch celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home in this city, yesterday. The occasion being made joyous by the presence of many of their children and grandchildren.
Mr. Ritterbusch was born on June 9, 1838, in the city of Hamel, Germany. Mrs. Ritterbusch was born on June 8, 1868 in the city of Kleinitz, Seblessinger, Germany. They were married on March 28, 1863 at Denmark, Holland. In 1867 Mr. and Mrs. Ritterbusch came to American taking up a homestead in Seward County, Nebraska, where they prospered many years. The family came to Guthrie in 1893.
They were the parents of twelve children of whom eight are living, and all residents of Guthrie. They are Fred W. Ritterbusch, Henry Ritterbusch, William Ritterbusch, Emil Ritterbusch, John Ritterbusch, Mrs. Henry Wolf, Mrs. ?. E. Williams and Mrs. John Black. There are twenty-five grand children and one great grandchild.
