Manpower for the armed forces would not be such a serious problim if all familes were able to send as many sons as have gone from several homes in the Lovell community.

P. S. O'Hern, who lives west of Lovell, has four sons, all officers; one grandson and one granddaughter in the service of their country.

Maj. Clyde W. O'Hern, 33 years old, of the army air corps, was a reserve officer for eight years and has been on active duty for two years. he is finance officer at Warner Robins Air depot, Georgia.

Capt. U. S. "Sid" O'Hern, 28 years old has been in the army air corps for nearly four years, a part of that time on combat duty in the southwest Pacific. He is now stationed at Ardmore where he is a test pilot in weight and balance.

Lt. Col. Wayne L. O'Hern, 27 years old, has been in service nine years and is a signal corps officer.

Lt. Melvin C. O'Hern, 23 years old, is a bombardier with the army air corps and has been in service a year and a half. He is stationed at Langley Field, Va.

The grandson is Pfc. Gayle Cain, attending army air corps radio school at Sioux Falls, S. D., and the granddaughter is Pfc. Kathleen Cain of the WAC , Camp Dix., N. J.

Mr. and Mrs. John Brant, who live three miles east and a half mile south of Lovell, have four sons in service. All are with the navy, three as officers and one in officers' training.

Lt. (jg) V. M. Brant, 29 years old, of the naval reserve, has been on duty a year and a half and is assistant supervisor of shipyards at Duluth, Minn.

Lt. J. E. Brant, 27 years old, is a naval reserve flight instructor at Corpus Christi, Tex. In service three and a half years, he was in Hawaii at the time of the Japanese attack there and later was wounded while on combat duty at Darwin, Australia.

Lt. (jg) R. J. Brant, 22 years old, naval reserve, has been in service two years and is an instructor at the naval air station at Clinton.

William I. Brant, A8, is 18 years old and entered V-12 officers' training last July. he is in school at Warrensburg, Mo.

Three sons of B. W. Maris, seven miles southwest of Lovell are navy men and have been in combat.

Thomas B. Maris, 26 years old, is a machinist's mate, first class. he has been in service four and a half years and in the southwest Pacific area since the beginning of the war.

Lt. (jg) George H. Maris, 24 years old, is a naval aviator who has been in service six years and has done combat flying. he is now stationed at San Francisco, Calif.

David A. Maris, 22 years old is a machinist's mate, second class. he has been in service four and a half years and is on duty somewhere in the south Pacific.

Mrs. Mary Friday, who lives five and a half miles southeast of Lovell, has three sons in service.

Cpl. Loy Friday, 26 years old, in the army quartermaster corps. he has been in service more than three years and is stationed at Indio, Calif.

Pfc. Lawrence Friday, 24 years old, has been in the marine corps a year and three months and is located at San Luis, Obispo, Calif.

Pvt. Lewis Friday, 20 years old, is with the army air corps. He has been in service two years and is stationed at Abilene Air Field, Abilene, Tex.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Linville, who live four miles southwest of Lovell, have three sons in service, two of whom are overseas.

Sgt. Henry D. Linville, 26 years old, has been two and a half years with the marine corps and is on duty somewhere in the south Pacific.

Pfc. Ersel Linville, 24 years old, is with the army somewhere in england. he has been in service more than two years.

Pvt. Merle F. Linville, 21 years old, is with the army air corps. He has been in service a little over a year and is stationed at Grenada Army Air Field, Grenada, Miss.
