Crescent post and auxillary, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, recently placed second in the annual VFW community service program, it has been announced.
Ardmore was first; Alva, third and Oklahoma City post 1857, fourth.
The four will represent Oklahoma in the national VFW community services contest.
Judging was based on records of community services activities submitted by the posts and auxiliaries. Each organization entered their scrapbook for the year as proof of the activities.
Crescent's number one project was placing street signs at all intersections and house numbers on all the houses.
