Guthrie Getup First Paper To Be Printed Here
The first newspaper actually printed in Oklahoma following the opening was the Guthrie Get Up issued from a tent in Guthrie April 27, 1889.
The Cheyenne Transporter, at Darlington, the War Chief, at Rock Falls boomer camp in the Cherokee strip, and the Beaver Hearld, at Beaver. No-Man's Land, were previous publications in the Oklahoma Territorial area.
