Miss Ida Adamson died last Tuesday morning at her home two and one-half miles northwest of Mulhall. She was well known in Mulhall and her many friends were sorry to hear of her death.
Died on September 11, 1900, at the home of her parents, two miles northwest of Mulhall, Ida Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.R. Adamson, aged 17 years, 10 months and 10 days. She had been afflicted for some months with a cancerous growth on her neck. It became so serious that it was thought advisable to have an operation, but she failed to rally after the operation.
She leaves behind her a father and mother, two sisters and four brothers to mourn her death. Miss Ida has lived in our neighborhood from childhood; was loved and respected by her many friends, and was the idol of her parents. She will be sadly missed in her home and in her circle of friends.
Miss Ida was converted and joined the Evangelical church in the winter of 1896. She left evidence behind her that she trusted God who fulfills all promises to those that love and trust Him.
The funeral sermon was preached at Pleasant Valley school house by Rev. J.R. Nanninga, pastor of the Evangelical church. Her remains were followed by a large concourse of people to the Pleasant Valley cemetery where she was laid away to await the final resurrection.
