Died, Tuesday, March 17, at 8 in the evening, of consumption, Mrs. Caroline Brown, the wife of Charles Brown, in the seventieth year of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Brown had been residing here temporarily for about three months and were living in the house on the bluff near the residence of Thomas Brown, a brother. Their home is in Pawnee Co. Kansas where Mr. Brown owns a farm. They were living near Galveston at the time of the great flood, after which they removed to Kansas. Mrs. Brown's health has been poor since that time. She had been confined to her bed but about two weeks previous to her death. The funeral took place from the Presbyterian church. Elder Wm. Judd, of the disciples church, conducted the services. The body was laid at rest in Roselawn cemetery. The relatives desire to extend their thanks for the kind friends who assisted during the sickness and at the funeral of the departed Mrs. Brown.
