Funeral services for Dorothy L. Basom, 84, of Guthrie, Okla., will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001 at 10 a.m. in Davis Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Nolan officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Lindsay, Okla., at 2 p.m., Wednesday under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born Dec. 1, 1916 at Lindsay to James W. and Mary Ellen (Hoover) Taylor. She died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie.

Dorothy had lived in Guthrie since 1994, moving here from Eufaula, Okla. She was a housewife and homemaker.

She married Charles U. Conyer on March 9, 1934. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1950. She married Buck Basom on Dec. 10, 1950. He preceded her in death in Dec. of 1978.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Paul Conyer and wife Marilyn of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Gary Michael Conyer and wife Beth, Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Wynema L. Parker and husband Rudy, Eastland, Texas; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents.

The casket will not be open at any time.
