Funeral services for Glen Alfred Beery, 66, of Guthrie, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at First Southern Baptist Church, Guthrie, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie, Rev. Bob West officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrie Cemetery, Guthrie.
Glen was born Oct. 19,. 1937, in Guthrie to Alfred and Nellie (Tontz) Beery. He died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City.
Glen lived in Guthrie all his life. He was a self-employed business owner, a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved to do woodworking and loved to fish and hunt.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Ellen Beery; and a daughter-in-law, Rehana Beery.
He is survived by his children: Charles Glen Beery and wife Marilyn, Cashion; Robert Dale Beery and wife Allison, Guthrie; Tony Alfred Beery and wife Elizabeth, Powell, Tenn.; Glynis Willene Sturch and husband Brian, Orangevale, Calif.; a brother, Jim Beery and wife Judy, Summerville, S. C.; and nine grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may call the funeral home today until 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 6 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
