Harold Anton Bowen died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at his home in Payson, Ariz.
Harold was born July 6, 1916, to Clark and Clara Bowen of Seward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gordon Bowen, sisters Dorothy Lahti and Margie Ham, grandsons Rusty and Jason Bowen and his loving wife of 41 years, Bonnie Bowen.
He was a lifetime resident of the Guthrie area until his moving to Arizona in 1998 to live with his son and the six years serving his country in World War II as a United States Army soldier in Alaska and Fort Bliss, Texas.
He was an employee of Tinker Air Force Base for 27 years, and following retirement worked for the State of Oklahoma at the territorial museum in Guthrie until 1982.
He enjoyed gardening, reading and TV western. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Guthrie, American Legion and V.F.W.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Lewis of Oklahoma City and Linda Wilkinson of Tulsa, son Russ Bowen of Payson, Ariz., and five grandchildren: Julie, Cheryl, Taylor, Orion and Samantha.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 27 at the First Christian CHurch at 10:30 a.m. under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie, Dr. Dennis Clark officiating.
Friends and relatives may call at uneral home Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. - noon and Monday from 8:30 a.m. - noon.
