Funeral services for Homer Russell "Roundy" Bartram, 93, formerly of Guthrie, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at Cotten Funeal Home and Crematory, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, N.C. with the Rev. John Thompson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Memorial Park in New Bern. Services are under the direction of Cotton Funeral Home and Crematory.
Bartram was born Dec. 17, 1909 in Guthrie to William and Vennie (Crabtree) Bartram. He died Feb. 11, 2003 at Britthaven in New Bern.
He also formerly lived in Mount Sterling, Ken. and Kenova, W. V.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Eloise Owens Bartram, and a brother, Haskell L. Bartram of Grove City, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, David Bartram of Amelia Island, Fla. and Robert Bartram of New Bern, N. C.; a daughter, Suzanne Reynolds of New Bern, N. C.; five grandchildren Kent Bartram of Chicago, Christopher Bartram of Springfield, Va., Michele Bartram of New York, N. Y.; Dr. Kevin Bartram of Fredericksburg, Va. and Beth Garnett of Charleston, S, C.; one great-grandson, Stewart Phinizy "Phin" Garnett IV of Charleston, S. C.; a brother, Don Bartram of Bozeman, Mon., and three half-brothers, Bill, Joe and Jim Bartram, all of Guthrie.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the H. R. Bartram Memorial Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, 100 Howard Ave., Mount Sterling KY 40353.
