Funeral services for Margaret Ellieen Bowden, 90, of Mulhall, will be held at Mulhall Christian Church, Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m., Gilbert Forrest of Mulhall Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Mulhall, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Margaret was born Oct. 22, 1913, in Mill Creek to Ell and Rada Ann Taylor. She died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, in Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1979. Also her parents, Ell and Rada Taylor; three brothers: Donald, Joe and Dane Taylor; and one sister, Doris Sayres.
She is survived by one son: George, Mulhall, two sisters; Lotus Clevenger, Guthrie, and Betty Listen and husband Jim, Lawton; one brother: William Taylor, Hayward, Calif; one brother-in-law: Walt Bowden and wife Sally, Emporia, Kan.; three grandchildren: Desiree Campbell, Durango, Colo., Andrew Bowden, Mulhall, and Brett Bowden, Perry; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a member of the Christian Church, Mulhall, where she had been active in the women's council. She was a longtime member of the Grandview Extension Club, Garden Club and W. C. T. U.
She enjoyed working the garden, canning and was an avid quiltmaker.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home until 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Mulhall Christian Church building fund.
