Chloe Omega Cooksey, 99, of Guthrie, Okla., passed away Feb. 10, 2001. She was born on June 19, 1901 in Willis, Okla., to James Marion and Alice (Basham) Green.
She grew up in Willis, moved to Seward in 1929, and to Guthrie in 1963.
She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie and husband Bill Hudson of Harrah, Okla., Ruby Moad and husbandArley Moad of Guthrie, Edna and husband J.C. Ozbirn of Nicoma Park, Jerry Dorminey of Glen St. Mary, Florida; one daughter-in-law, Helen Cooksey of Nicoma Park; one son-in-law, Milam Headley of Fort Worth, Texas; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew David Cooksey; her parents; four children; five brothers; three sisters, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001 in the Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home in Midwest City, Okla. Interment followed at Seward Cemetery.
