Eva Myrtle Stizel Collins, Guthrie, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2004, at Mercy Health Center.

Services were held Tuesday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at the Guthrie Christian Church, officiated by officiated by Don Riepe and Troy Nelson. Burial was at McKinley Cemetery, Meridian.

Eva Myrle was born April 11, 1924, to Marvin and Ruby Stitzel, Guthrie. She married Leslie G. "Buddy" Collins in 1949. She was employed by Southwestern Bell and retired in August 1982. She was a member of Eastern Star and Telephone Pioneers.

She is survived by two devoted daughters, Sheri and Allen Brown, Guthrie; and Glenda and Roy Starks, Meridian. She also is survived by five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Eva Myrle will be missed by her loving companion, Jack Cooper, her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie.
