John Robert Chandler, born June 21, 1876 in Middleton, Hardeman County, Tennessee to William A. Chandler and Mary Blackwell-Chandler. On January 3, 1897 in McNairy County, TN he married Nancy Ann Tidwell, born April 9, 1873 in McNairy County, TN to Sarah Carpenter-Tidwell and James F. Tidwell. Nancy and John had five children, Arnold, Eber, Angie and Elvie Chandler, and 1 daughter, Sally, who died in infancy. They came to Logan County from TN in 1918. Nancy died November 3, 1931 of cancer, in the home of her daughter, Angie McKenzie. John died August 1, 1960, in Guthrie, OK. Both are buried in the Navina Cemetery.
