LYCURGUS DUNLAP DECEASED.
At the residence of his son-in-law, John A. Taylor in Mulhall, July 26, 1903, occurred the death of L. Dunlap, in this 75th year.
For several months he had been in a condition of ill health that seemed to render his death possible at any time. Since the death of his wife, he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. John A. Taylor, who has been constant in nursing and caring for him during his long sickness.
The deceased Lycurgus Dunlap was born June 10, 1928, at Wheeling, West Virginia, from whence he removed to Illinois in 1859. From Illinois, he came to Sedgwick county, Kansas in 1867, being one of the pioneers of that county. He lived with his family in Sedgwick county until the opening of Oklahoma, when he settled on a claim four miles east and one north of Mulhall. Becoming too feeble to longer work the farm, he came to Mulhall about five years ago, and this town has since been his home.
The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from the residence, and the body was placed in Roselawn cemetery, Rev. W.O. Allen conducting the services.
EDITOR OF THE ENTERPRISE:
Please convey through your paper our thanks to the friends and neighbors, who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and at the burial of our departed one, L. Dunlap.
