Wake services for Matilda Descher Dill, 82, of Okeene, Okla. formerly of Mulhall, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept.30, 1999 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church officiated by Father Dave Cowden. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Okeene under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary.
Matilda was born Jan. 7, 1917 at Okeene to John and Anna Farhar.
She passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 1999.
She was a resident of Okeene her entire life except for 23 years in Mulhall. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was married to Zeno H. Descher at St. Anthony's Church on Nov. 4, 1938.
Matilda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by nine sons, James and Verta, Duane and Charlette, Anthony and Nely, Edward and Frances, Walter and Reta, Cletus and Vickie, Phil and Rhonda, Timmy and Jo and Leon and Lori; six daughters, Yvonne and Wayne; Marty and Troy, Marita and Robert, Delores; Lucy and Jim and Mary Ann and Donnie.
She also is survived by three stepsons, Daniel, Kenneth and Richard; three stepdaughters, Mary Jane, Norene and Vickie; two brothers, Gus Farhar and Francis Farhar; six sisters, Rose Hawkins, Genevieve Descher, Mary Miller, Barbara Westfal; Teresa Peters and Ludwina Woods.
She also is survived by 44 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, 29 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
