Funeral services for Allie Mae Elston, 82, of Guthrie will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Crescent with Pastor Robin Grueser of Guthrie Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Cemetery in Crescent under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.
Allie was born April 10, 1921 in Sovoy, Texas to William and Lula Hicks. She died Monday, August 18, 2003 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Allie came to Oklahoma in 1929 and married Alfred Elston on August 26, 1941.
Survivors include one son, Stanley Elston and wife Francis of Guthrie; two daughters, Wilma Sexton and husband Joe of Guthrie and Linda Sebring and busband Ted of Stillwater; one brother, L.T. Hicks and wife Christine of Guthrie; one sister, Estelle Johnson of Kingfisher; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred in 1985; one son, Delbert Elston, one daughter, Wanda Thomason, one grandson, David Thomason, six brothers, three sisters and one great-grandson, D. J. Collins.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday until 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
