Longtime County Resident Dies
Mrs. Irene Presser Englebrecht, 87, died Friday morning in the Masonic Home. Funeral services will be held in the Davis Funeral Home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. A. B. Hickman, pastor of the First Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in Summit View Cemetery.
Mrs. Englebrecht was born in Montgomery Co, IA and she was married to Benjamin F. Presser in 1889 and came to Guthrie in 1901. Mr. Presser died in 1915 and she was married to John P. Englebrecht in 1918. They lived in Marshall until his death. Mrs. Englebrecht moved back to Guthrie in 1942, and she was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by two sons, Frank L. Presser and Ralph P. Presser, both of San Antonio, TX, a step daughter, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, Ft. Worth, TX, four granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
