A memorial service to celebrate the life of Capt. Kevin Martin Egan, 53, of Crescent will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Crescent.

Kevin was born Feb. 4, 1950 in Long Islaznd, N.Y. to Margaret (Urquhart) and Edward John Egan, Jr. He passed away April 17, 2003 in Durham, N.C.

He married the love of his life, Janet Ehret, and together they raised two wonderful daughters, Brianne Egan Dawley and Maggie Jeanne Egan. Kevin served his country proudly in the U. S. Army with special operations during the Persian Gulf War, Grenada aqnd Somalia.

Survivors include his loving wife, Janet Egan, of the home; two daughters, Brianne Dawley and husband David and Maggie Egan; his father, Edward John Egan, Jr., one brother, Jimmy Egan; two sisters, Margaret E. Hunter and Lynn Cannon; and a close personal friend, D. J. Corell.
