Lois Carol Edwards was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Orlando, Oklahoma to Rollie W. and Carrie (Wyant) Bircket. She passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2004, in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha, at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 27 days.

She grew up in Orlando and graduated from Orlando High School. She attended Oklahoma State University for two years. Carol grew up in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, now the First United Methodist Church. She and William Frederick Edwards were married on Sept. 28, 1944, in Perry. They raised their family in Orlando, and for the last four years, divided their time living in Orlando and Anadarko. She was completely devoted to her family and had taken care of five generations of her and her husband's families.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Connie Bridges, D. V. M. Survivors include her husband, Bill, two sons, Rollie J. Edwards and his wife Ruth of Enterprises, Ala., and William Michael Edwards and his wife Cassandra of Van Buren, Ark.; 5 grandchildren, Josh Bridges of Norman, Carrie Edwards of Enterprises, and Vernon, Joel and Levi Colvin of Van Buren, other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Orlando, Rev. Adrian Pollard officiating.

Burial will follow in Morris Heights Cemetery, south of Orlando, under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home.
