Mary June Prince Edmiston, 88, a longtime resident of Tiburon, Calif., died March 9, 2001 in Marysville, Calif. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at Miller Avenue Church in Mill Valley. Interment will follow at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, Calif.
Mary June was born in Crescent, Okla., raised in Guthrie, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Library Science. After World War II, she served as a librarian in the Civilian Army Auxiliary at Camp Robinson, Ark., and in Salzburg, Austria.
She has lived in California since 1951 having lived in San Francisco, Tiburon, and Mill Valley.
She is survived by a cousin, Patty Logan of Yuba City, Calif.; a nephew, Bob Prince of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and two nieces, Sandy Kubitz of Louisville, Ky. and Lynn LaPlante of Toledo, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Edmiston, formerly of Guthrie, and her brother, William Gerald Prince.
