Death has again invaded our little city, and carried away the bright little baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. S. Claud English. The little one was sick only a short time, and suffered from inflammation of the bowels. Loving and faithful hands did all that was possible for the little sufferer, but to no avail.
There is a Reaper, whose name is Death,
And, wish his Sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded Grain at a breath,
And the Flowers that grow between.
At 4 o'clock Monday morning, little Villa passed away. She was 2 years, 1 month, and 23 days old.
The funeral services were held from the home and were conducted by Rev. Stote of Perry. The remains of Little Villa were then laid away in the Mulhall cemetery.
