Katie Mae Hudson-Filebark, age 87, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006.
Born in Arkansas and raised in Guthrie.
She was a loving devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She went to Panama and became a government employee where she met her husband Joe, a civil engineer working for the Canal Zone. Married December 24, 1944, forty four years of marriage took them from Panama to Ohio, Florida and then back to Guthrie.
She was an internationally recognized bowler wining both individual and double titles.
Katie will be remembered for her kindness, faith, love for horses and her strong spirit. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe in 1998.
Her smile will be missed by her children, grandchildren and immediate families.
Survived by her son Joe in New Mexico, Bob in Florida, daughter Robyn in Florida, sister Ruby in Texas, sister Betty Lou in Oklahoma, brother Herbert in Oklahoma, granddaughter Olivia in Florida, granddaughter Kristina in Florida and grandson Robert in Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
