Miss Alice L. Gould was born December 27, 1860, in Courtland, Decalb county, Illinois. She moved thence to Kansas with her parents, and at the age of fifteen made a profession of the Christian religion and united with the Baptist church. On February 1, 1882, she was married to Edward Henderson in Miami county, Kansas. In 1894, she moved to Oklahoma with her husband and united with the Christian church, and departed this life at her home near Clarkson, O.T., November 13, 1899. Sister Henderson was a kind and affectionate wife and mother, a good neighbor and a true Christian. A large number of relatives and devoted friends were present at the funeral services which were conducted by the writer in the Christian church at Clarkson. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; yes, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them."
