Funeral services for Glen Nolan Gale, 81, of Crescent, Okla., were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2001 in the First Christian Church of Crescent with Rev. Gerald Biswell officiating. Burial was in Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home of Crescent.

Glen was born Feb. 8, 1919 in Crescent to Nolan J. and Pearl (Pfrimmer) Gale. He died Jan. 26, 2001 in Crescent.

Glen was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He was a postal service worker.

He was married to Ruth Claunch on Dec. 18, 1942 in Crescent. She preceded him in death on March 16, 1986. He married Marian Fagan on June 27, 1987 in Kingfisher, Okla. He was a member of the Crescent VFW and Crescent American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Marian of the home; one daughter, Sandy Price and husband Ron of Kingfisher; two step-sons, Ralph Fagan of Bartlesville, Okla., and Larry Fagan of Springfield, Mo.; four step-daughters, Cathrine Shackleford of Greenville, Texas, Gloria Wade of Texarkana, Texas, Carolyne Larimore and Marilyn Drumheller, both of Claremore, Okla.; one brother, Gene Gale of Crescent; three granddaughters, Robin Pyle and husband Randy, Shelly Reherman and husband Kyle and Sherri Coughlan and husband Brian; nine step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ruth; one brother, Chester Gale, and by a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Randy Pyle, Brian Coughlan, Kyle Reherman, Frank DeFuentes and Billy Rasmussen.

Memorials can be made to Mission Hospice in Oklahoma City.
