Arkansas City, Kan-Mrs. Rhoda Jane Griswold, 88, of Guthrie, Okla., died Thursday in Arkansas City's Memorial hospital where she underwent surgery several days ago. She had been visiting her son, J. L. Griswold, in Arkansas City.

Born in Sheridan, Iowa, on Nov. 16, 1867, she was a member of the First Christian church and Order of Eastern Star in Guthrie.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Esther G. Loy, Guthrie, and Mrs. Ernest Offen, Topeka, Kan.; the son of Arkansas City and a sister, Mrs. James Holloway, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Davis Funeral Home in Guthrie.
