Max L. Good, 81, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, former Guthrie resident, died Feb. 25, 2001 at Veterans Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
Max was born July 21, 1919 in Augusta, Kan. to Emmett and Blanche (Feger) Good.
He worked for the Veterans Administration as a Medical Administrator for 26 years before retiring in 1985 in Muskogee, Okla. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and was proud to serve his country. His family said Max was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He loved sports and enjoyed being a referee and coaching city league softball in Tucson. His family said Max was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Good of Prescott Valley, Arizona; three daughters, Sharon Good of Prescott Valley and Cindy Good and Judy Lucero, both of Chandler, Arizona, and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona with Reverend William O. Smith officiating at the services. Military Honors will be rendered by Luke AFB Honor Guard.
Memorial donations in Max's memory may be made to the Veterans Center, 161 Granite Street, Prescott, Arizona 86303.
Sunrise Funeral Home and Crematory, 8617 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley, Arizona was in charge of arrangements.
