Clara Hazel Harold, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Combs, and also of Mr. E. Harold, former pastor of the Christian church at Perkins, Oklahoma, died at the home of W.E. Combs, in south Mulhall. She was born February 26, 1896, and died December 27, 1904, aged, 8 years and 10 months. She came with her parents to Mulhall to spend Christmas with relatives, and while on the way became very hoarse. It was thought nothing serious until Sunday, when the physician pronounced it diphtheria. From that time on she grew worse, until the end came Tuesday morning at 9:30.
