PIONEER GUTHRIAN DIES ON WEDNESDAY
George W. Hopkins, pioneer Guthrie resident and businessman, died on Wednesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Klutts, 808 N. Ash Street.
Hopkins came to Guthrie in 1889 and opened the first grocery store in the city. His store was located at 22 S. Second Street, where he remained in business for over 30 years.
Hopkins was 85 years of age. Funeral arrangements had not been made Thursday afternoon
