Funeral services for R. A. Hallenbeck, well-known Guthrie resident who died early Monday morning was held at the St. Mary's church at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Hallenbeck died in the Cimarron Valley Wesley hospital here of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been a resident of Guthrie for 19 years.
Burial was made at Summit View cemetery northeast of the city, under the direction of the Davis funeral home.
Hallenbeck is survived by his wife, three sons, Robert Hallenbeck, Steelville, Mo.; William Hallenbeck and James Hallenbeck, all of Guthrie, a sister, Mrs. G. C. Kemps, Tulsa and a brother, B. H. Catterlin, of Tulsa.
Hallenbeck was justice of the peace in Guthrie at the time of his death. He had held the position for three consecutive terms. He received the republican nomination again for the same office in the recent run off primary election.
Hallenbeck had been in poor health for some time and operated on in February for goiter.
