Memorial services for Jay Pat Jarvis, 56, of Guthrie will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie with Chaplain Richard Lutz officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Lawton, Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Jarvis was born Feb. 12, 1946 in Sayre to Willard and Jessie Jarvis. He died Jan. 17, 2003 at Edmond Regional Hospital in Edmond.
He was a disable veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Caron, of the home in Guthrie and daughter Hannah; and one son, Jay T. Jarvis of Weatherford, Okla. Three other daughters and one sister also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
