Theodore Jeffries, brother of our fellow townsmen, B.G. and George Jeffries, was accidentally shot while out hunting near his home at Waterloo, twelve miles south of Guthrie, last Friday, and died Saturday from loss of blood. He, in company with his brothers, was riding in a lumber wagon, when the team suddenly stopped, throwing Theodore forward and, as the shotgun was cocked, was discharged, throwing the entire load into his shoulder. This necessitated amputation, but the great loss of blood was more than the wounded man could sustain, and death followed. He leaves a wife and several small children. Much sympathy is felt for the family and relatives. The relatives here went down to attend the funeral which occurred at Waterloo Sunday.
