Mrs. Henrietta Kongable, 86-year-old World War I Gold Star mother, died at Benedictine Heights hospital Monday. She came to Oklahoma from Kansas in 1902 and was a member of the Guthrie United Presbyterian church.
Funeral services were Wednesday morning in the United Presbyterian church with Rev. Klon E. Matthews, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Summit View cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. V. O. Benson, Mrs. H. E. Birch, sr., both of Guthrie, Mrs. L. L. Barnes, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Don Bennett, Ralston, Miss Monnie Kongable, Oklahoma City, and three sons, George F. Kongable, Wetumka, W. C. Kongable, Canal Zone, Harold J. Kongable, Houston, 28 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
Information supplied by Vern Karl Benson states that Henrietta's last name is spelled Kongabel, not Kongable.
