FALLEN ASLEEP.

Frances A. Chick was born near Cumberland Gap, Ky., September 6, 1847. When but a child her parents moved to Springfield, Ill. She was first married to Charles Deavers. Three children were born to them, two daughters, Lizzie and Lucy, and one son, William H. The daughters are dead. William is living at Mulhall. Mr. Deavers died in 1868. In 1870 Mrs. Deavers was married to James Kizer.

While residents of Springfield, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Kizer became members of the Christian church, being baptized by Elder Mallory.

In after years they moved to Neosho county, Missouri, thence to Cowley county, Kansas. At the opening of Oklahoma they came to the territory and settled on a claim four miles southeast of Mulhall, where they resided until a few years ago when they removed to Mulhall.

Two years ago Mrs. Kizer became afflicted with a tumor. After months of suffering she died at her home in Mulhall, at 6:15 Wednesday morning, December 26, 1900.

The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Thursday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. Wm. Judd. A large number of friends were present to pay their last respects to the sainted sister, who, before her death, had expressed a desire to depart and be with her Lord. The body was laid to rest in Rose Lawn cemetery.
