Charles E. Lundy, 72, of Guthrie was born March 26, 1931 in Guthrie. He died Aug. 2, 2003 at his home in Oklahoma City. At Charles' own request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.

He graduated from Guthrie High School in 1949. After graduating, he spent three years in the U. S. Army, serving in Korea. After returning from active duty, he went into the insurance business. He sold his agency in 1990.

Charles married Barbara Burst in 1951. To that marriage four children were born: Greg (deceased), Emilee, Richard and Warren. In 1975, Charles married Janette Fowler.

Survivors include Janette, Emilee, Richard and Warren Lundy; his four stepchildren, Nancy Irwin, Christie Tornello, Tami Parker and Jamie Atchison; 15 grandchildren and his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Betty Lundy of Crestivew, Fla. Thank you to his "special caregivers," Tami and Scott Parker, his daughter and son-in-law.
